Sir,
I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay to Messrs Cox & Co on account of Col Moody R.E. (Commissioner of Land & Works in British Columbia) the sum of £300 for Salary due to him at the rate of £1.200 per Annum for the Quarter to 30th June last, as requested in Mr Elliot's Letter of the 25th Instant.
