With reference to your despatch No. 3 of the 12th of January, I have to acquaint you for the information of Captain Grant that the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury have sanctioned the payment of his travelling expenses in England in connection with the Colonial Service prior to his departure for British Columbia, and thatManuscript imagethat the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay the sum of £15 to Captain Grant's agents Messrs Cox and Co, on this account. Messrs Cox and Co have been so informed.
