I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Sir F. Rogers' dispatch No. 58 of the 30th October last with copy of a letter from the Treasury, acquainting mewithManuscript image with the steps that had been taken relative to sending out a supply of coin for the use of British Columbia, and that the same had been shipped on board Her Majesty's Ship "Tartar" which vessel sailed from Portsmouth on the 27th October last, for Vancouvers Island.
2. I will not fail to acquaint your GraceofManuscript image of the receipt of the Coin whenever it may arrive, and I will take care to attend to the instructions contained in the Treasury letter respecting the manner in which repayment is to be made.
