Douglas writes to Newcastle in reference to earlier correspondence on the BC government's “Returns and Accounts” for 1860, a copy of which Douglas forwards.
The minutes ask that a copy of Douglas's despatch be forwarded to the Treasury.
Douglas's document on returns and accounts for BC is missing from the file, and in its stead is a note that reads as follows: "Folio
11 recto being too large, will be photographed later." The second document in the
file is a draft letter from Rogers to Hamilton, which forwards a copy of Douglas's despatch.

Adverting to my Despatch No 50 of the 22nd Ultimo, and to previous correspondence upon the subject of Returns and Accounts required
from this Government, I have the honor to forward herewith the Return for the year
1860 as described on the other side hereof,
and I trust that the same may be found satisfactory.
Abstract of the actual Revenue & Expenditure during the Year 1860, divided under the different established heads of service.
