Sir,
I wish to obtain some information about British Columbia with a view to emigrating to that Colony & I therefore do myself the honor to request you will be good enough to inform me of any particulars in your power as to free grants of land to settlers, with the conditions thereof, whether any pamphlets or books have been published bythe LocalManuscript image the Local Government, or by others, giving all necessary details to intending emigrants & if so can you favor me with the names of the Publishers to enable me to procure them.
I know no other means of obtaining this intelligence or I would not have troubled you with this Letter.
