I have to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 3 of the 11th of January on the subject of the reference to the Judicial Committee of the title of the Hudsons Bay Company to the lands claimed by them in British Columbia.
Your recommendation as to the mode in which the Company should be compensated for any Land alienated by theGovernmentManuscript image Government, which may be adjudged to have been the property of the Company will not be lost sight of when the proper time arrives for considering it.
