I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 10 of the 28th of January and to state that I am quite satisfied with the explanation which it affords on the subject of the letters addressed to you by Colonel Moody on the 24th and 22nd of August last, the first relating to the selection of the site for a town on the Semilkomeen River; the second respectingtheManuscript image the provision made in the Estimates of 1860-61 for the Royal Engineers.
