Newcastle writes to Douglas to forward to “the Surveyor General of British Columbia the enclosed Charts of the World and of the Stars,” which were prepared by the “Topographical Department of the War Office.”

The Secretary of State for War has forwarded to this office for presentation to the Surveyor General of British Columbia the enclosed Charts of the World and of the Stars, which have been prepared in the Topographical Department of the War Office, and I have to request that you will deliver them toManuscript image the Surveyor General in compliance with Sir G. Lewis' desire.
