I have the honor to transmit herewith copy of a Requisition made by the Superintendent of the Assay and Melter's Department for 50 tons of the best hard coke to be sent out by the first sailing ship leaving England after the receipt of the Requisition and I trust your Grace will beManuscript imagebe good enough to give instructions for the same to be purchased and shipped as requested.

The Agents General must I presume be instructed to supply the Coke. On the 2d March 1861 the Govr was desired to remit funds to the Agents here for the purpose of meeting payments of this nature, but we have not heard that he has done so. If not it will be necessary to request the TreasuryManuscript image to pay for the Coke in the first instance as an advance to the Colony?
