I have the honor to acquaint your Grace that the last draft on Regimental Pay account having been exhausted, I have instructed the Treasurer to procure by Bills on Her Majesty's Paymaster General, in the usual manner,theManuscript image the sum of Fifteen Hundred pounds (£1500) and I have to request Your Grace will issue the necessary instructions for the Bills presented on this account to be paid when they become due.

This, it will be observed, is for Regimental Pay, i.e. for that pay which is provided for on Army Estimates. I merely note the fact in Order that we may be forearmed if the Treasury should some day take exception to any of this particular class of Bills.
Transmit to that Office as usual with a recommendation for payment.
