Authorize the Agents to procure & send out the Stores
for the Assay Office, if on enquiry they find that all the
Articles comprized in these Requisitions are necessary &
the quantities are not extravagant?
Mr Jadis
The Assay Department is I believe under the Treasury.
Are its expenses defrayed by the Treasury or by the Colony?
If the latter, I think that the first step should be to
ask the Agents to report the probable expense of complying with
the present requisition.
The expense will be defrayed by the Colony.
