With reference to Mr Elliot's letter of 20th Ultimo, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury
to transmit to you, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle,
the enclosed copy of a Report dated 21st Instant from the
Commissioners of Inland Revenue with copy of its Enclosure on
the subject of the Proclamationissued
