I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch of the 9th of July relative to the Stickeen Territory. I approve the course adopted by you towards the governor of the Russian Territory in that neighbourhood, and I have to refer you to my despatch No. 134 of the 26th of July enclosingManuscript image an Order of Her Majesty in Council which provides for the present government of the New Country.
