I have duly received your Grace's despatch of the 14th July last No 35 pointing out to me that, as doubts might be entertained as to the binding authority of any Proclamation issued by me subsequently totheManuscript image the Order in Council constituting a Legislative Council, my first step should be, on convening such Council, to re-enact in the form of an Ordinance any Proclamation or Proclamations issued after the above date, and I have to convey my thanks to Your Grace for furnishing me with your views in this matter which shall be carefullyattendedManuscript image attended to.
