I have the honor to forward an authenticated and two plain copies of an Ordinance of the recent Session of the Legislative Council of this Colony, entitled:
An Ordinace to declare the lawful rate of interest in the Colony.

The rate of interest is startling to English ears. But the reasons given by the Atty Genl seem to me entirely to justify the Act.
