Mackean to Cardwell
On 17th March, I signed on behalf of this Bank a Petition
to the Queen in Council for a Supplemental Charter, and as the
additional powers we seek will increase our sphere of usefulness,
and be beneficial to many besides our shareholders, I venture to
request your favorable consideration.

as Mr Blackwood states—I think about 10 days
ago. & the papers have not since returned from circulation.
