Sir,
I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you, herewith, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, an Extract from a Letter, No 136, of the 24th October last, from Rear Admiral Denman, reporting that "Antoine Lacanage," the Murderer of Mr Ogilvy at Bentinck Arm, had been Shot by an Indian, in Self defence, when eluding the Search made for him by HMS "Cameleon."
