Sir,
Referring to your letter of the 22nd ultimo I have to acquaint you, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, that the 100 canes which the Governor of British Columbia proposes to present to the Indian Chiefs of that Colony can be procured of suitable pattern and make at a cost of 39s/- each or £195, and the 100 flags at a further cost of £50.
