I have received and laid before The Queen the Ordinance enclosed in your Despatch No. 49 of the 12th May, entitled No. 5 of 1865 An Ordinance to encourage the construction of a line of Telegraph, connecting the United States and other Countries, and for other purposes; andIManuscript image I have the honour to inform you that Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to confirm and allow this Ordinance.
You will communicate Her Majesty's decision to the Inhabitants of the Colony under your Government in the usual manner.
