At the request of 
Mr William A.G. Young, late Colonial
               Secretary of 
Vancouver Island, I have the honor to submit to
               your Lordship the accompanying letter
setting
 setting forth his views
               as to the Correct interpretation of the Boundary Treaty of 
1846.
               
               2.  I will only now say that the views here explained are
               identical with those I had the honor to express verbally to your
               Lordship and to more than one Gentleman belonging to the Colonial
               Office.
