I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two plain Copies of an ordinance of the recent Session of the Legislature, entitled; No. 4 An OrdinancetoManuscript image to assimilate the Law relating to Sheriffs.

To assimilate the law relatg to Sheriffs. This Ordinance is with the exception of Sec. 5 (which is very proper) & the limit of one calender month in sect. 2 the same as The Sheriff Act of 1860. It may be sanctioned.
