Offices of the Crown Agents for the Colonies,
Spring Gardens, London, S.W.
4th September 1867
Sir,
The requisition referred to in the enclosed copy of a letter from
the Colonial Secretary of
British Columbia, as having been made by
the Government of
Vancouver Island in the year
1865 and only partially
complied with was not forwarded to this Office. As "the remainder
of the Stores" are stated to be pressingly required and delay may
occasion not only inconvenience but risk to the Shipping resorting
to that Island, the Crown Agents would be glad to be informed whether
any
such such requisition is on record at the Colonial Office, if not,
then there will be no alternative but to write to
British Columbia
for further information as to the Stores still required.
