Hamilton to Under-Secretary of State
Treasury Chambers
26th Aug.t 1867
Sir,
I am directed by the Lord Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to state, for the information of the Duke of Buckingham & Chandos, with reference to your letter of the 21st Inst, that My Lords concur with His Grace in opinion that there is no longer any need for separate Accounts being kept by the Crown Agents for the Colonies, for Vancouver Island & British Columbia, and that the two should be therefore amalgamated.
I am,
Sir,
Your Obedient Servant
Geo. A. Hamilton
