I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 58 of the 6th of April, and to convey to you my approval of the grant to Mr. Watson of Six months salary and a free passage home for himself, wife and family in compensation for the loss of his officeasManuscript image as Treasurer of Vancouver Island.
