I have to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch of the 28th of September No. 132, stating that you will probably find it necessary to dispense with the services of Mr. N.R. Spalding who is now in temporary charge of the district ofNanaimoManuscript image Nanaimo, and expressing an expectation that I may find means of providing for him in some other Colony.
I have noted Mr. Spalding's name with those of other applicants for Colonial appointments who I must add are very numerous.
