My Lord Duke,
I have had the honor to receive Your Grace's Circular despatch of 28th November 1867, respecting the making the Gold Coins of the Sydney Mint alegalManuscript image legal tender. You Grace enquires what steps have been taken in regard to Her Majesty's proclamation on the subject.
2. I have to state that the proclamation enclosed in the Circular despatch of the 30th November 1866, was duly published in the Government Gazette of the 23rd February 1867. I forward a copy of it.
