My Lord Duke,
I have had the honor to receive Your Grace's Despatch No. 53 of the 18th July, forwarding Copies of two letters addressedtoManuscript image to you by Mr Francis Poole applying for a concession of Queen Charlotte's Islands.
2. Mr Poole can of course purchase, upon survey, any unoccupied land in Queen Charlotte's Islands which he may desire to acquire at a dollar an acre.
3. I would mention that both Gold an[d] Coal have been found in thegroupManuscript image group of islands in question and that it appears from the Sea to present, in Summer, every attraction. I have not landed on it.
