I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, to transmit herewith, for the information of His Grace the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, a copy of a letter from Rear Admiral Hastings of 12th March No 41, and its enclosure, relative to anticipated Fenian disturbances in Vancouver Island.

The telegram recd on the 3rd from Govr Seymour, & which was dated the 1st inst, stated that Victoria was the Capital, & also said (I think) "no Fenians."
