I am greatly obliged for the information conveyed in Your Grace's Confidential despatch of the 14th of NovemberrespectingManuscript image respecting the assumed power of the Governor to reserve bills for Her Majesty's consideration. I need not say that the directions it contains shall be strictly obeyed.
2. It was, however, never my thought that Her Majesty would take a part in our LegislationfurtherManuscript image further than directing me, through Your Grace to assent or not to assent to a bill passed by the Legislative Council.
