My Lord,
I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two plain Copies of an Ordinance of the present Session of the Legislature entitled;No. 2Manuscript image No. 2. An Ordinance for promoting the Public Health in the Colony of British Columbia. I append the Report of the Attorney General upon this measure.
2. I consider this a useful measure and the main principles of it were introduced to the Legislature by my direction. During the late prevalence of the small pox in Victoria IhadManuscript image had to assume powers which the Law very certainly does not confer on me.
