I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Your Lordship's despatches marked "Confidential" of the 19th and 30th April, respectingtheManuscript image the appointment of myself as Colonial Secretary of British Columbia.
2. Governor Seymour's despatch No. 63 of 8th April will have informed your Lordship that the arrangements made by the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos have been carried into effect by the swearing in of Myself as Colonial Secretary.
3. No disastrous consequences have arisen, neither doIManuscript image I apprehend the slightest probability of any arising.
