Sir,
I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to state, for the information of Lord Granville that My Lords approve of the grant of £600, or 18 months pay, to Mr Cooper late Harbour Master at Victoria, as compensation for loss of Office on abolition, as reported in the despatch from the Governor of British Columbia submitted in your Letter of the 9th Inst.
