No. 77
Downing Street
2 August 1869
Sir,

Mr. Trutch's Report is very interesting and I must express my satisfactionbothManuscript image both at the prompt manner in which Mr. Seymour started for Metlakahtla on receiving my despatch of the 7th March last and at his success in accommodating a quarrel which if left to itself might have produced very serious results in arresting the course of improvement among the Indians.
I have the honor to be
Sir,
Your most obedient
humble Servant
Granville
