Sir,
I transmit to you for your information copies of a correspondence between Mr. Barwise and this department on the subject of granting assistance or privileges to an association which it is proposed to form fortheManuscript image the purpose of developing the Salmon Fisheries in the Fraser and its Tributaries.
If the Association should make any application on the subject to your Government it must be considered whether a compliance with their request would bring them into Collision with the Indians.
