My Lord,
On the 31st ultimo I received a Telegram from Your Lordship as follows—"Offer Needham Chief Justiceship Trinidad. Salary eighteen hundred. Answer by telegraph what date he can leave. Puisne Judge will besentManuscript image sent out."
2. I replied on the same day—"Needham accepts—will leave in a Month."
3. Today I have transmitted another Telegram as follows—"May Crease have Puisne Justiceship. Salary small to tempt man from England—expenses so great."
