No. 41
23 April 1870
I have had the honor to receive Your Lordship's Circular Despatch of the 7th March, with an Extract of a Letter from the Board of Trade representing that the Returns of Wrecks and Casualties sent home from the Colonies are in many respects defective.

2. On enquiry I find that these Returns have never been made from this Colony; as far as I can ascertain have never been asked for; nor have the necessary forms for the purpose been supplied by the Board of Trade. If the Board will now furnish these, the returns will be regularly made by the Collector of Customs.
I have the honor to be,
My Lord,
Your most obedient
humble Servant
A. Musgrave
