No. 91
27th July 1870
My Lord,
I regret to report the death of Mr C.J. Pritchard, late Warden of the Gaol at New Westminster.
2. In his place I have appointed Mr Arthur McBride, lately Keeper of the Gaol in Victoria under the superintendence of thePoliceManuscript image Police Magistrate.
3. Mr Pritchard's Salary was Twelve Hundred and Twenty dollars ($1220), per annum. Mr McBride will only receive the same amount which he at present draws, namely, Nine Hundred and Twelve dollars ($912); but better accommodation in respect of Quarters and an allowance for Light and Fuel render the change advantageous for him.
