No. 94
28th July 1870
My Lord,
I have the honor to forward for Your Lordship's information a Copy of a Report of a Committee of the Privy Council of Canada which has been transmitted to me by Sir John Young as embodying the agreementwhichManuscript image which has resulted from the negotiations between the Delegates of this Colony and the Ministers of the Dominion on the subject of Union.
2. This result is even more satisfactory than I had anticipated. The terms assented to, by the Government of Canada are liberal towards this Colony, and as they embrace an undertaking in respect of the Railway—asManuscript imageas to the possibility of which I had some doubt—I have no hesitation in my belief that they will be accepted with cordiality by the Community at large, so soon as I am able to bring them forward for consideration.
3. I now await Your Lordship's Instructions for the Constitution of the new Council which is necessary for the further proceedings towards the accomplishmentofManuscript image of Union.
I have the honor to be,
My Lord,
Your most obedient
humble Servant
A. Musgrave
