My Lord,
I have had the honor to receive Lord Granville's Despatch No 67, of the 21st June, with a copy of a Letter from the Rev. W. Robinson requesting information in regard to the physical features of parts of this Colony.

But at my request Chief Justice Begbie, who knows the natural features of the greater part of British Columbia, has been kind enough to furnish me with some remarks and descriptions in a Letter of which I annex a Copy, and which Mr Robinson may find useful.
3. Mr Begbie some time ago noticed the peculiar character of the "Benches" of the Fraser and Thomson Rivers in a Report made to Governor Sir James Douglas in April 1859, which willbeManuscript image be found printed in Part III of the Papers relative to British Columbia laid before Parliament in 1860; and that can also be furnished to Mr Robinson from Your Lordship's Department.
I have the honor to be,
My Lord,
Your most obedient
humble Servant
A. Musgrave
