Lushington to Under-Secretary of State

Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to request you will move the Secretary of State for the Colonies to inform them, if possible, what amount of punishment was awarded to two men named Lyons and Shakespeare, who were convicted in the Colonial Courts at Esquimalt in 1869, for having assisted two men in an attempt to desert, from HMS "Satellite."
