In behalf of a Public Meeting held in
Victoria Theatre on
May
13th 1870, with reference to the suspension of the Honorable
Thomas Basil Humphreys, of which we were respectively the
Chairman and Secretary; we have the honor to transmit the
accompanying resolution that was passed nearly unanimously on
that occasion.
Herewith are also two copies of the Evening News, dated
respectively May 11th and May 14th 1870; the first shewing
that due notice was given of the Meeting, and the second
containing a report of the same.
