Sir,
On behalf of the widow of the late Governor of British Columbia I have the honor to ask that the Earl of Kimberley will move the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to direct the Commissioners of Customs to afford the usual privileges in the passing of eleven cases addressed to Messrs Bushby & Lee, St. Peter'sChambersManuscript image Chambers, Cornhill, marked "F.S." which have arrived in London from Victoria, British Columbia by the ship "Prince of Wales."
These cases contain the personal effects of the late Governor Seymour and were packed in the Colony under my supervision.
