Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit to you, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of a letter, No 102 of the 22nd Ultimo, from the Naval Commander in chief in the Pacific reporting that he had placed HMS "Sparrowhawk" at the disposal of the late Governor of British Columbia to convey him to San Francisco.
