With reference to my letter of the 19th Instant I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you, herewith, for the information of Earl Kimberley an Extract from a General Letter from Rear AdmiralFarquharManuscript image Farquhar dated at Esquimalt the 25 July stating that the "Sparrowhawk" would be placed at the disposal of the newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia to convey him from San Francisco.
