Her Majesty's Steam Ship Driver having afforded a Passage from Callao to Vancouvers Island
Ansd 24 Sept/50
between the 17th Jany and 6th of April last to His Excellency Richard Blanshard, Governor of Vancouvers Island, I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to request you will inform me if Earl Grey is of opinion that the expense of this Passage should be paid by the public.
