Hamilton writes to Merivale in order to forward copies of Moresby's correspondence on the actions of the Daphne at Vancouver Island.
Blackwood writes simply, "Hudson's Bay Company?" Others sign off on what is, presumably, a
note to pass on Moresby's correspondence to the Company.
The first of the enclosed items is a draft from the Colonial Office to Pelly, which forwards copies of letters and enclosures; the second is a letter from Moresby to the Admiralty, which encloses letters from Fanshawe, which discuss the Fort Rupert murders.
