Stafford, on behalf of the Admiralty, sends Merivale a copy of Moresby’s letter and enclosures relating to his report on the Queen Charlotte Islands and Vancouver Island.
The minutes discuss whether Moresby’s report should be forwarded to the Hudson’s Bay Company.
Of the three enclosed documents, the first is a forward of the letter and enclosures to Barclay, the second is Moresby’s report regarding “the Sovereignty of Queen Charlotte’s and Vancouver’s Island,” and the third is Moresby’s order to Kuper to return to the Northwest Coast.

Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit to you, for the information of Secretary Sir John Pakington, the copy of a letter from Rear Admiral Moresby dated 30th August last No 76, and of its enclosures relative to his proceedings in regards to Queen Charlotte's and Vancouvers Island.
