This letter acknowledges Pelly’s receipt of a packet from Merivale which is to be forwarded to “the officer administering the Goverment of Vancouver’s Island.”


Sir J.H. Pelly presents his Compliments to Mr Merivale and has to acknowledge the receipt of a packet addressed to the officer administering the Government of Vancouver's Island, which he will cause to be forwarded by an early opportunity.
