I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Your Grace's Despatch No 13 of the 12th of November last.
I observe with great satisfaction that Her Majesty has been pleased to approve of the provisional appointment of Mr John Work as a Member of the Council of Vancouver's Island, and I have to acknowledge with your Grace's Despatch the receipt of a Warrant under the Royal Sign Manual authorising me to carry that appointment into effect, and IhaveManuscript image have to assure your Grace that the same shall be attended to as soon as convenient.
