I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of
the Duke of
Newcastle's Circular Despatch of the
15th of May last, in which after
conveying information that
the Queen had been pleased to direct that the
Consular Authorities of the Emperor of all the Russias, should no longer
be recognised in Her Majesty's Dominions, His Grace desires that I will
inform any person who may be acting as Consul for Russia in this Colony
that Her Majesty's Government
cease
cease to acknowledge the Consular
character of himself and of any subordinate Consular Officer, who may
have been appointed by him, and I beg to assure you that this order,
shall, whenever required, be put in force.
