I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the Duke of Newcastle's Circular Despatch of the 15th of May last, in which after conveying information that the Queen had been pleased to direct that the Consular Authorities of the Emperor of all the Russias, should no longer be recognised in Her Majesty's Dominions, His Grace desires that I will inform any person who may be acting as Consul for Russia in this Colony that Her Majesty's GovernmentceaseManuscript image cease to acknowledge the Consular character of himself and of any subordinate Consular Officer, who may have been appointed by him, and I beg to assure you that this order, shall, whenever required, be put in force.
